This entire S3 module is designed to teach you how to select things on a website programmatically and intelligently, in specific ways that fit specific scenarios, so that your styling is logical, scalable, and maintainable.
We're starting off by talking about the element selector, which allows you to select specific elements. For example, "section" would select all sections and "h1" would select all h1 headings.
Additionally, we're discussing how Etch's selector system works, the old days of writing CSS in stylesheets (which is mostly avoided now), the concept of "tree shaking" CSS, and a few other "introduction" tidbits.
If this first video in S3 is a little overwhelming, don't worry. Just bob and weave, roll with the punches, keep watching, and it's all going to start to get clearer and clearer as we go.
